Electronic Arts and Criterion showcased another stylish trailer for their upcoming Need for Speed Unbound title. The newest racer will have ‘Takeover Events’ where players can put their skills to the test.
Need for Speed Unbound Takeover Events
Takeover Events will test players’ skills and give them a chance to show off their style. The objective of these events will vary from drifting, smashing collectibles, and gaining style points. From what we see in the latest trailer, the game will feature many obstacles with jumps, sharp corners, and of course, ASAP Rocky.
Since its announcement last month, the latest Need for Speed game has been about expression and painting the city of Lakeshore. Takeover Events are another game element that brings street racing and self-expression to the bustling city. The game’s art style is all about realism with an urban graffiti style, bringing a unique twist to the gameplay.
With the recent news of Project CARS getting the axe from Electronic Arts, for now, Need for Speed, and Formula 1 is the company’s main focus in the racing genre.
Electronic Arts built Need for Speed Unbound for the new generation of consoles and will feature 4K resolution at 60 FPS. This will be the first time Need for Speed will utilize this technology. For more on EA’s upcoming street racing game, you can check out SGO’s latest news here.
Need for Speed Unbound will be out December 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
