SGO Weekly: F1 Manager 22 & more!
F1 22 Driver ratings update
Codemaster and EA Sports released the first Driver Ratings update for F1 22. The update brings changes based on mid-season performance. Driver Ratings consist of four categories: experience, racecraft, awareness, and pace. Formula 1 experts David Croft, Alex Jacques, and Anthony Davidson collaborated with Codemasters to tweak the ratings to better reflect individual performance. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton maintain their positions at the top of the leaderboard, while George Russell’s performances have seen him take the third position from Charles Leclerc. Additionally, F1 22 launches Podium Pass Series 2 for use in My Team and online modes as of August 24.
Super Baseball League release ‘Club Confrontation’
Haegin announced the introduction of Confrontation to Super Baseball League. In Club Confrontation, teams play with a lineup of players affiliated with the club, not individual users. 13 users can each register 1 player for the lineup. Lineups consist of nine batters, one starting pitcher, and three relief pitchers, totaling 13 players. Only the club master and manager will be able to register the final lineup. Clubs face off with their strongest lineup of players. Matches feature a 1v1 PvP format. Gold and CP (Club Points) will be rewarded based on the result of the game. Honor Points, as well as Boxes containing Gold, Player Cards, and Star Pieces, will automatically be awarded based on rankings.
New eTour Competition
DP World Tour announced the introduction of a new eTour competition in partnership with the mobile game, World Golf Tour by Topgolf, and esports specialists DreamHack Sports Games. The tournament opens to players across the globe on August 31. The new eTour competition has four stages, with the entire competition played on the stunning Wolf Creek Golf Course in Nevada, USA, culminating in a live grand finale hosted at DP World’s high-tech FLOW Pavilion in Expo City, Dubai.
F1 Manager 2022 launches on early access
As the header suggests, F1 Manager 2022 launched on early access this week. The game is available for those who pre-ordered digitally on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Players who purchase the game digitally before August 30 can play immediately as well as receive 10% off. In F1 Manager 2022, players take control of their chosen F1 team. As Team Principal, it is on players to lead them to glory throughout the official 2022 season and beyond. Players will need to balance short-term success with long-term objectives as they aim to establish themselves as a dominant force in the world’s most prestigious motorsport.
