EA Sports FC Online Career Mode Details Are Getting Fans Excited

Is it time to get excited?

Last summer, the popular FIFA news page FUTZone revealed EA’s plans for an online career mode for its newest football series, EA Sports FC. While this news was just a rumor then, the prospect of this mode being a reality got fans excited about the game. On Saturday, FUTZone updated us with another round of leaks, revealing details of EA Sports FC‘s online career mode.

Online Career Mode Details

FIFA’s career mode is a flavor of its own and an acquired taste. The mode is far from perfect and has primarily stayed the same since FIFA 12. However, many FIFA fans like myself have grown to love the mode and all its flaws; and an online component to this similar experience is something FIFA fans have been asking for from EA.

Like Madden’s online career mode, EA Sports FC‘s online mode will limit many actions players can do compared to offline. FUTZone claims that players will only get five transfers during each transfer window and will be timed while running their club. However, while this tweet states that players can create a club, no authentic clubs will be featured in the mode.

The FIFA news page has since corrected its tweet and informed fans that real clubs will be in online careers and fake teams are used only in the pre-alpha stages.

REAL CLUBS WILL BE INCLUDED IN ONLINE CARRER MODE. Sorry for the misunderstanding. They just are not testing them for the Pre Alpha. Big W!

Slipping through the cracks

EA Sports FC is a fresh start for Electronic Arts after the company refused to agree to FIFA’s licensing terms. Many rumors are circling about new features coming to EA’s next series, like a women’s ultimate team and cross-play in pro clubs. We should know more about the game this summer.
