The FIFA demo is just about the only demo I ever get. Usually I will read reviews, or watch videos to make my mind up about a game, but FIFA is different. What really matters to me is how FIFA 17 feels. Sure very little changes from year to year, but that just means the changes they make are magnified. Even a slight change to passing or tackling can take weeks to re-learn, so that’s why I always pick up the demo.
So what’s in it?
Back when I started playing FIFA, the Demos were far less generous. We only had 6-8 teams and could only play Kick-off.
Lest year we got to try Draft Mode, and this year we get to try out their brand new game mode The Journey. This will obviously only be a select section, and unfortunately you can only play for Manchester United. Still, it will give you a taste of Alex Hunter’s journey and what to expect when FIFA 17 drops.
There will be a total of 12 teams available for you to play:
- Chelsea
- Real Madrid
- Manchester City
- Juventus
- PSG
- Seattle Sounders
- Gamba Osaka
- Bayern Munich
- Olympique Lyonnais
- Inter Milan
- Manchester United
- Tigres U.N.A.L
There’s a diverse range of top clubs to choose from as you whet your appetite for the main event. Also there will be a total of 3 stadiums to choose from; CenturyLink, Stamford Bridge, and Suita City Football Stadium.
The halves will most likely be 3-4 minutes long, because they have always been that way. That’s ok though.
Skill Games
While your games are loading you will get to try your hand at 4 single play skill modes and 3 multiplayer skill games. Since skill games were introduced to play over the loading screen I have enjoyed them, but they were a bit frustrating when playing with friends, because one player had to just sit and watch. Now with the introduction of multiplayer skill modes you can suck at them with your mates as well.
So that’s a little run down on everything the FIFA 17 demon has to offer. I’m looking forward to trying it out.
