FIFA 23 Pro Clubs Deep Dive Reveals Cross-play & More!

Electronic Arts continue to showcase everything new coming to FIFA 23. This time, it’s a deep dive into the games FIFA 23 Pro Clubs and Volta football modes.

Cross-play Coming to FIFA 23 Pro Clubs

In July, I talked to Aaron Baker, the creator behind the popular FIFA hashtag SaveProClubs. Baker’s goal was to get a response from Electronic Arts about the absence of cross-play in Pro Clubs. Interestingly enough, Game Design Director of Pro Clubs and Volta Richard Walz began the latest pitch notes with a response.

With the scale of such an important feature[cross-play], our goal is to bring you the best possible experiences. As we look at our cross-play future, we’re focused on matchmaking in Pro Clubs, VOLTA, and FUT Co-op, as well as cross-platform lobby invites, and ultimately cross-platform Pro Clubs.

It is clear that EA is focusing on other aspects of Pro Clubs besides cross-play and an update introducing the feature is likely.

Shared Seasonal Progression

Shared Seasonal Progression will be the link between Pro Clubs and Volta. With this reintroduced feature, players will be rewarded in both modes while playing just one. In return, we will see tattoos in Pro Clubs for the first time and more customizable cosmetic options.

Drop-Ins

Drop-ins have seen many changes on last years FIFA 22. This year the mode received a few new additions to make drop-ins a quicker experience. Electronic Arts reduced the Half Length and implemented the golden goal instead of extra time.

New Perks

Here are the four new Perks and what they do:

Attacking Perks

Chance Creation Perks

Defensive Perks
