Super Mega Baseball 4 To Feature More Than 240 Legends At Launch

Last week, EA Sports announced Super Mega Baseball 4, the next installment in the popular arcade style baseball game. The biggest news from this announcement was that the new game would feature baseball legends for the first time. Among the legends that were announced included Babe Ruth, Jose Bautista, and David Ortiz. It was also announced that Ortiz would serve as the series’ first cover athlete.

Today, more information on these new baseball legends was released. Today’s news included information on more legend announcements, as well as how you will be able to play with these legends in Super Mega Baseball 4.

Legends At Launch

Super Mega Baseball 4 will have more than 240 baseball legends available to play with at launch. Some of these legends include:

You can find these legends in the classic Super Mega League, as well as the new Legends League. This Legends League divides the legendary players amongst four teams divided into two conferences: the New School Conference and the Old School Conference. This league will pit the two eras of baseball against one another.

Playing with Legends

There will be plenty of ways to play with these legends in Super Mega Baseball 4. You can play through a regular Season mode using one of the Legends League teams. You can also customize the Legends League team to your liking like in previous games.

Players will also be able to play with legends in Franchise, Season, and Online Leagues using the new Shuffle Draft feature. This feature will have you draft a team of legends and the classic Super Mega All-Stars.

In Franchise mode, legends can be imported to appear as free agents that you can pick up throughout the season. You will also see the legends show up in the Pennant Race mode. Each week, 4 players will be replaced by legends, which will be called “Pennant Race Ringers.” Teams that haven’t been picked much or are on a losing pace will receive stronger legends than the better teams will.

Super Mega Baseball 4 launches on June 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
