AEW: Fight Forever Rumor Killer

AEW: Fight Forever rumor

During the week, a rumor regarding the AEW: Fight Forever roster started making the rounds. That rumor involved MJF and him being removed from the game. But there’s good news for fans of the wrestler who’s better than you and you know it.

Multiple sources have told SGO that MJF is still a part of the game’s launch roster. In fact, he’s still expected to be a major part of the company’s first console game.

Prior to his leave from AEW after its Double or Nothing PPV in May, MJF took part in a voice over session for the game. Along with a number of other wrestlers, MJF spent a few hours with Yuke’s to record content for the game’s career mode. Sources said that the session took place the week before the show. With the game well in development at the time, it would be too late for him to be removed from a mode like that, let alone the game entirely, and still have a possible 2022 release.

Questionable Roster Omissions

As far as who won’t be a part of the game’s roster at launch, Fightful Select reported on Sunday afternoon that tag teams like Santana and Ortiz, Private Party, and The Acclaimed weren’t on the disc. This comes off the heels of it being made public that FTR won’t be in the game at launch, though SGO did confirm that they are planned as DLC after the game’s release.

Another rumor going around regarding the AEW: Fight Forever roster is that Ricky Starks won’t be a part of the launch roster, either. Despite hearing the same thing from people, we’ve yet to be able to confirm it one way or another.

AEW: Fight Forever is expected to launch this fall and will be available on all major platforms.
