WWE 2K23 Reveals John Cena Showcase and Soundtrack

WWE 2K23 is just a few weeks away from release, and today we got more news about the Showcase mode for the game. There will be a new twist to the mode this year that aims to help mix things up from previous versions. We also learned about tracks coming to the game’s soundtrack, curated by John Cena himself.

Never Give Up

In the latest Ringside Report, WWE 2K23 revealed this year’s Showcase mode features the career of WWE Superstar and WWE 2K23 cover Superstar John Cena. The mode will have players journey throughout the illustrious career of the 20-year WWE veteran. However, players won’t be controlling Cena. This year, players will be playing as Cena’s opponents from some of his biggest fights. Players will have to master their skills in order to take down one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time.

The Showcase, titled “Never Give Up”, will have players face off against different versions of Cena from throughout his career. From his first big bout against Kurt Angle to his SummerSlam match against Roman Reigns, players will see all the biggest moments in Cena’s career.

The mode will also serve as a documentary for players to learn from John Cena himself about each match. New Slingshot Technology will transition between gameplay and live-action footage from the actual fights to create an extra immersive playthrough. The full match list for the mode is shown below:

Soundtrack

On top of being on the cover and having the Showcase mode centered around him, John Cena also served as the Executive Soundtrack Producer for WWE 2K23. He curated the entire soundtrack which includes the following tracks:
