For years, capturing and streaming high quality — including 4K gaming — has required you to have a near top-of-the-line PC. With the new 4K60 S+, Elgato is aiming to change that.

Unveiled at CES 2020, the new streaming device allows users to capture full 4K HDR content at 60FPS without the need for a high-powered machine. Instead, it records the content directly on the device to an SD card. Should you want to live stream, you simply have to connect to a computer via USB 3.0.
The 4K60 S+ handles all of the processing power, freeing your computer up to play the games and run the streaming software like Elgato’s first-party Game Capture, OBS, Streamlabs, or XSplit.
The 4K60 S+ launches later this month and will run you $399.99.
