MLB The Show 24 Road to the Show Adds “Women Pave Their Way” Storyline

Today, we finally got our first bit of news about additions coming to Road to the Show in MLB The Show 24. While SDS has been very quiet about any changes coming to offline modes, we now know of at least one new thing being added. This new addition is bound to have people excited.

Women Pave Their Way

In MLB The Show 24, Road to the Show will allow players to create female ballplayers in the mode for the first time. If you choose to create a female ballplayer, you will get to experience a new story that will play out throughout the course of your career. This new feature will include all the existing features of Road to the Show, while adding a new storyline that follows you and your player’s best friend on your way to breaking barriers.

This story will feature new commentary, MLB Network segments, and other features to immerse you in this new storyline. You will also have a fictional best friend, Mia Lewis, who you will go through the story alongside. Your friend is a fellow ballplayer and will follow you along your path to the big leagues.

Along with the blog post, SDS also released a trailer for this new storyline. In it, we see a prospect taking batting practice in the MLB Draft Combine. It’s possible that this could be another new feature coming to Road to the Show. In the past, players were able to complete some scouting drills and a couple of prospect showcase games to determine their draft position. The addition of the MLB Draft Combine could replace that old feature.

Outside of this new storyline, we don’t know much about modes like Road to the Show and Franchise this year. SDS will be holding another Feature Premiere this week. This is when we will likely finally hear about these modes. There is one more Feature Premiere after this week, but it has already been confirmed to focus on Diamond Dynasty’s live content for the year. Hopefully, we will learn more about this addition, as well as others, to Road to the Show later this week.
