NHL 22 Announces Roster Sharing

NHL 22 Release Date Auston Matthews

Roster sharing is coming to EA Sports NHL 22. Per EA NHL’s official Twitter account, roster sharing will allow players to share custom roster files with anyone running a franchise mode team. Players will be allowed to upload and share rosters throughout the community and upload them directly to an NHL franchise mode session. The NHL 22 Roster Sharing tool will reportedly be available in-game in the main menu under the “more” tab.

NHL 22 Roster Sharing Details

Roster sharing in NHL 22 is the first time the feature is available in the NHL series. EA Sports stated that roster sharing is one of the most requested features for the game.

Roster creation will be available on day one when the game launches on October 15, and the sharing feature will go live in the coming weeks via a downloadable patch. According to EA Sports, the patch release date is expected in December.

Moreover, EA Sports NHL 22 Roster Sharing opens up the possibility of prospect rosters that would not normally be in the game. The sports gaming community has vocalized the importance of roster sharing and the replay value it adds to games. For example, Sony San Diego Studio turned the best community prospect rosters for MLB The Show into official rosters, adding tremendous depth for team-building modes. Perhaps the NHL gaming community will deliver comparable prospect lists and rosters.

NHL 22 Frostbite Engine

NHL 22 is the first iteration of the NHL franchise to run the Frostbite engine. We have seen the Frostbite engine improve lighting and other visual effects across FIFA, and among other EA titles. Per NHL 22’s website, Frostbite will help deliver new physics, visuals, and realistic animations.

Additionally, per NHL 22’s official update, fans can expect a number of improvements to Ultimate Team, Franchise Mode, Be A Pro, and World of Chel.

We will soon know how the new additions to NHL 22 play out when the game drops on October 15 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
