Every time a sports franchise releases a new installment, the masses want a confirmation on whether it’s an improvement over the previous year’s version. Looking over MLB The Show 18, I was surprised just how much the game surpassed MLB The Show 17 in terms of graphics.
SIE San Diego Studio Shines With MLB The Show 18
From the improved textures on the players’ beards (you must zoom in to even notice) to the colors of the players uniforms, MLB The Show 18 has made incredible strides. It’s comical how washed out the colors in players’ jerseys looked last year compared to the vibrancy of this year’s game. San Diego Studio also emphasized on updating players’ facial hair (Lindor, Correra, Altuve) to be as current as possible. Other big names, like Bryce Harper and Chris Sale, finally got face scans that rival their real life counterparts. I love what they done with The Show and I’m having almost as fun looking at it as I am playing it.
