2K Reveals TopSpin 2K25 Official Gameplay

TopSpin gameplay is here!

2K is starting to pull the curtain back on TopSpin 2K25. After revealing the game’s long-awaited return earlier this year, the publisher has revealed the game’s release date and roster. However, 2K finally showed off TopSpin 2K25‘s gameplay and new features on Tuesday.

TopSpin 2K25: Centre Court Report: Gameplay Showcase

The NBA 2K publisher released its first Centre Court Report on YouTube. The video showed off some of the game’s unique features and some gameplay.

2K built its gameplay on the foundation of TopSpin 4, which many returning players should be familiar with. The developers then added some new improvements, like signature styles.

Just like Federer

Signature styles replicate the movements of actual tennis players on the virtual court. For example, Rodger Federer will have his signature forehand, backhand, and serve. From what we gathered from the video, the devs will genuinely bring an authentic look to TopSpin 2K25.

Even Rodger Federer participated in a motion capture session at 2K to bring his authentic movements to the game. So you know the animation will be top-notch in this year’s title.

The best timing

TopSpin 2K25 will also have a reworked timing meter. When a player is ready to hit the ball, a meter above their head will appear, and a red circle will appear near their legs. We are not 100 percent sure how these two features will emulate timing and shot power, but we are interested in testing them out.

You can check out the full Centre Court Report here.

TopSpin 2K25 will be released on April 25, 2024, and it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
