After a relaxing three-day weekend, 2K has dropped some massive news regarding its TopSpin tennis series. On Wednesday, the NBA 2K publisher announced that TopSpin 2K25 will be coming out soon.
TopSpin 2K25 Incoming
2K announced that the TopSpin series would rejoin its established list of sports games. The company revealed the tennis game via Twitter/X and released a short teaser trailer.
Unfortunately, 2K is very tight-lipped about the new tennis game and will most likely reveal more at a later date. Nevertheless, the return of TopSpin is a welcomed addition to the 2K family.
The worlds of tennis and 2K have collided. TopSpin 2K25 is the next must-play sports game from 2K that fully immerses fans into the world of tennis. Unveiled in conjunction with the Australian Open, 2024’s first Grand Slam, TopSpin 2K25 is now available for a first look.
The long wait and fan reception
A couple of weeks ago, we did a piece discussing what sports games should make a return in 2024. While we didn’t include TopSpin in our initial list, a few of our loyal viewers mentioned it in the comments.
The last game in the TopSpin series was released in 2011, so tennis fans have waited relatively long. Hopefully, 2K won’t make players wait longer for more information on the game and provide more gameplay footage. It has been over a decade since the last TopSpin game, and we are interested in seeing how 2K implements some new ideas into the series.

That’s awesome but what about 2K bringing back their NHL game? NHL gamers have suffered for far too many years being stuck with EA Sport’s NHL lame game as the ONLY option. I find it hard to believe that 2K will sell more tennis games over a hockey game. Come on 2K! Please come back to the NHL gaming arena! I’m still playing NHL2K8 with my created current rosters! Look at the forums (especially EA’s own forum). People really want an alternative to EA’s game!
