ESports Boxing Club revealed ‘King’ Ryan Garcia fighter model. The reveal comes ahead of Garcia’s fight with Javier Fortuna on July 16.

ESBC previously revealed Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford and showcased some gameplay. Although Garcia did not get the gameplay showcase, the renders still show the realism Steel City Interactive is working towards.

Ryan Garcia is an undefeated upcoming prospect at 22-0 with 18 KOs. ESPN, The Ring magazine, and Transnational Boxing Board ranked him as the sixth-best boxer in the lightweight division. Garcia has fast hands and crisp technique to go along. He has won over Olympic gold medalist, Luke Campbell. He has also beaten Emmanuel Tagoe, Romero Duno and Francisco Fonesca.

The fight against Fortuna has pretty significant implications. If he wins, he could get to fight the current king of the lightweights Devin Haney. Also looming around is Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. Garcia was supposed to challenge Fortuna for the chance to fight Haney but pulled out of the fight to focus on his mental health. In addition to Fortuna, Garcia was scheduled to fight Joseph Diaz, but Garcia broke his hand, scratching the bout altogether.

ESBC continues to be one of the most hyped games. Electronic Arts have its hands full with Madden 23, EA Sports FC, and Skate. Fight Night has been put on the back burner for now. However, ESBC may be the catalyst to bring back Fight Night

ESBC still has some ground to cover before a release date is revealed. Until then, check out the myriad of information SGO has provided throughout the development cycle.
