UFC 5 Will Feature an Online Career Mode

On Tuesday, Mike Straw of Insider Gaming dropped massive news about EA Sports UFC 5. According to Staw’s sources, EA’s newest fighting game will be released on October 27 for PS5 Xbox Series X|S, but won’t be available on PC. However, the most significant news we got was that UFC 5 will feature an online career mode for the first time.

UFC 5 online career mode details

According to Insider Gaming sources, UFC 5 will feature its first-ever online career mode. The mode will only be for created fighters, who can compete in one of four divisions. As players rise in the rankings, they will have a chance to win a championship.

In addition, players gain evolution points as they play online, which can be used to upgrade their created fighters.

Lastly, for those who are wondering, UFC 5 will still offer an offline career, in addition to an all-new online career mode.

What else to know…

UFC 5 is set to be a brutal return for the series. According to Straw’s sources, EA Sports’ next fighting game will ditch the Teen rating and go rated M. This is due to the blood pools that form during fights and “more realistic aspects of damage.” Mike Straw explained.

In addition to the rating change, UFC will be changing engines this time around. Instead of running on the Ignite Engine, the game will switch to Frostbite for the first time in the series.

EA’s engine change will improve UFC 5 by moving it from 30 to 60 frames per second, enhancing the visuals and overall presentation.

UFC 5 is hitting the Octagon on October 27 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
