A few weeks back, several Madden NFL 23 players could not log into their online franchise saves. It took EA Sports a few days, but they were able to fix the issue and players could again access their save files. Sadly, the issue has come back, as twice now this week Franchise mode in Madden NFL 23 has been inaccessible to players.
Silent Night in Franchise
The issue started around Christmas Day as several users reported that they could not log into online Franchises. This was similar to the issue Madden NFL 23 had earlier in the month. This was happening alongside players reporting issues connecting to MUT. This means tons of players who just got the game as a gift for the holidays were unable to play two of the most popular modes in their brand-new game. EA Sports addressed this issue in an evening tweet on December 26th. The tweet from Madden NFL Direct said that the team was aware of players experiencing connection issues when connecting to Connected Franchise Mode (CFM).
Madden NFL Direct issued an update to this tweet around midday on December 28th. The update stated that following that morning’s server maintenance, players should be able to play CFM without any problems. However, a few hours later, players continued to report issues connecting to CFM. This includes players who had been previously unaffected by the other connection issues.
Early this morning, the Madden NFL Direct Twitter again issued a statement. This tweet said they were aware of the issue and investigating the problem. This was the last update on the situation at the time of writing. Players are still unable to access their existing online save files. However, some have reported being able to create new online franchises. Offline franchises appear to be unaffected.
This is just the latest in a long string of problems for CFM in Madden NFL 23. From the draft revert bug to the 31/32 players bug to now the mode being completely unplayable for several weeks, CFM has had one of the roughest years in recent memory. While Madden NFL 23 was touted as the most polished version in a long time, the results for CFM players have been anything but polished.
