NHL 22 Technical Test is Live, Codes Being Sent Out

NHL 22

Codes for NHL 22‘s Closed Technical Test are sent out and the beta is live. For those chosen, the technical test allows players the opportunity to get their hands on NHL 22 early. It’s also a chance to provide feedback to EA to address any aspects of the game that are broken.

NHL 22 Closed Technical Test

Back on August 6, the official Twitter account for NHL 22 posted a link for interested gamers to sign up. In order to sign up for the test, all you had to do was verify your EA account info, select your console, and (in some cases) pray.

Much like the Madden 22 Playtest spots filled up fast. So the earlier you signed up the better. But, if you were able to successfully sign-up chances are an NHL code will land in your inbox. Because it’s a closed beta, content of the game cannot be shared. No streaming, no screenshots, no videos. Per usual, the game will have its glitches and bugs since it’s not an entirely finished product. (Though in many cases, it’s more done than developers will lead you to believe).

NHL 22 news is starting to pick up over the next month or so. Most recently, EA detailed its World of Chel mode. On September 28, fans of EA’s hockey sim can expect their first look at uncut gameplay. Followed by Be a Pro and Franchise mode on October 4 and Hockey Ultimate team two days later. Check out the full release schedule here.

EA’s latest hockey title makes its debut on the Frostbite engine on October 15. NHL 22 releases across the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
