Last year, news broke that 2K and Lego have struck a multi-game deal to ensure the release of three licensed Lego games. According to XboxEra’s Shpeshal_Nick, 2K is developing its first Lego game, ‘ Lego 2K Drive‘.
Incoming Lego 2K Drive
Shortly after the rumor surfaced about a new Lego racing game, Insider Gaming claims that several sources have confirmed the title ‘Lego 2K Drive‘, which is currently in a closed beta stage.
Last year, VGC reported that three new lego games were in development. The first was a football/ soccer title developed by Sumo Digital, the second was an unknown sports game, and the third was the now-known toy-based racing game. While we don’t know much about Lego 2K Drive, given the rumors last year, the game could be open-world and will have players competing in circuits.
Sports Gamers Online has contacted 2K Sports for comment regarding its upcoming Lego racing game, but we have not received a response. If we do, we will update the article with any additional information.
Current 2K Rumors
2K Sports has a few rumors circling at the moment. A few weeks ago, the popular FIFA news page, FUTZone, posted a story claiming that 2K and FIFA were in talks to market a new football game. This story was followed up a month later with comments from FIFA’s president stating that he wants a new FIFA game to rival Electronic Arts’ EA Sports FC.
