New GRID Legends Trailer Features Actor Ncuti Gatwa

Last month, we learned that Codemaster’s newest racing game was drifting into stores on February 25, 2022. On Thursday, we got a new trailer featuring actor Ncuti Gatwa in GRID Legends’ Driven to Glory story mode. Gatwa portrays Voltz Racing’s lead driver, Valentin Manzi, as he explores his connection between driver and car in the new trailer.

“It was a pleasure to work with Ncuti. His portrayal of Valentin Manzi has taken our story mode, Driven to Glory, to another level, and we know his followers will enjoy racing alongside him” – John Merchant, Brand Director at Codemasters.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the development of GRID Legends, here’s a quick run-down.

Last summer, senior game designer Becky Crossdale explained how her team used real actors to incorporate its extended reality technology. This technology is used to blur the lines between cinematic sequences and gameplay. Driven to Glory has benefited from this technology, given how the gameplay looks so movie-like.

‘Driven to Glory’ is GRID Legends story mode that features multiple teams trying to win the prestigious GRID World Series. Once players complete this action-packed story, they can hop into a deeper career mode with over 250 events to play.

Tushek Debuts in GRID Legends

We see Ncuti Gatwa driving a TS 900 Racer Pro in the trailer. This is the first time Austrian supercar maker, Teshek, is featured in a video game, and with the addition of the TS 900 Racer Pro; Hopefully, Tushek’s supercar becomes a fan favorite and is a blast to use on the racing track.

GRID Legends will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
