Hot off the heels of the return of the O.G. Fortnite map, Epic Games and Rocket League are teaming up to bring a new mode to Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1. During the 2023 Game Awards, the latest mode to Fortnite, Rocket Racing, featured a new trailer.

What is Rocket Racing
Psyonix, the developers behind Rocket League, has teamed up with Fortnite to bring an exciting new mode to the battle royale game. Rocket Racing will introduce players to a new free-to-play racing experience where they can race against each other using Psyonix’s game mechanics.
If you’ve been playing Rocket League and are worried about your customized cars getting into the new mode, you’ll be glad to hear those cars will be ported to Epic Games’ new mode.
Rocket Racing will be available within Fortnite on Friday, December 8. You can check out the release times below.
- 7 a.m. PST for the West Coast of North America
- 10 a.m. EST for the East Coast of North America
- 3 p.m. GMT for the U.K.
- 4 p.m. CEST for west mainland Europe
- 12 p.m. JST in Japan (Dec. 9)
