A sequel to The Crew 2 is on the horizon, with The Crew Motorfest closed beta coming on July 21st. Instead of being named The Crew 3, its official name is The Crew Motorfest. Adopting a similar theme to Forza Horizon, having the game be themed around a festival. It will be available September 14 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Location set for MotorfestÂ
The beautiful island of O’ahu will serve as the playground for Motorfest. At the Ubisoft Forward showcase, the creative director, Stephane Beley, said this game is a celebration for car lovers. In a video presentation, Ubisoft has shown glimpses of street racing, off-roading, and Formula One. Going into detail, there is a playlist for everyone. Japanese-style nightlife racing in a Skyline GTR R34, track racing in a Lamborghini, and fantasy races in electric supercars are all on offer in the latest Crew installment. Â
Separating itself from the competition Â
Despite the festival theme being used in Forza Horizon, Motorfest does have its uniqueness. Not only are there many options for race styles but there are also multiple vehicles to pilot. If you ever feel like taking a break from the thrill of a car, you can jump into the seat of a boat or the cockpit of a plane. On top of this, those who felt disappointed when they were made to leave all their cars behind for the upgrade to Forza 5. This won’t be a problem in The Crew Motorfest. Players with car collections from The Crew 2 can have them transferred over.Â
Release dateÂ
Previously we couldn’t give out an exact date but now we can. September 14th is the day the party begins for fans of this franchise. Though, if you pre-order the gold or ultimate edition you will get access to it 3 days earlier on the 11th. Â
