5 NEW Features Coming to EA Sports FC 24

Here are some cool features coming to EA Sports FC 24

Electronic Arts and FIFA have split, and a new era of football gaming is born. EA Sports FC 24 is the newest football title from the ex-FIFA publisher, and with the initial reveal of the game out the way, we can look at everything the game has to offer this September. Thanks to a retail listing on EB Games’ website, we get loads of info about EA Sports’ newest football game. Here are five new features coming to EA Sports FC 24.

New Features Coming to EA Sports FC 24

While EB Games’ retail listing gives us loads of information, EA Sports are hosting deep-dive events that will go into greater detail. These are features that I found exciting and innovative to the experience of EAFC.

Cross-Play in Pro Clubs

EA Sports left FIFA 23‘s team play mode out of the cross-play party due to in-house complications. The absence of the feature didn’t sit well with fans of Pro Clubs, so much so that VFL Twitter admin Aarron Baker started the #SaveProClubs campaign.

This campaign gained loads of support from many people, not only in the FIFA community but also in the football community.

Thankfully, EA announced that EA Sports FC 24 would feature cross-play in Pro Clubs for owners with the same console generation. This means Xbox Series X|S players can enjoy the mode with PS5 and PC players. Rejoice!

New Divisions and Play-offs System in Pro Clubs

Keeping it in Pro Clubs, one of the new changes that are coming to the mode is a new division and playoff system. Gone are the days of starting a new club in Division 10 and working your way to Division 1.

Now, EA has broken Pro Clubs into two phases. First, players will compete in a league phase, progressing from the lowest division to the highest, and then compete in a play-off phase.

I love this fresh take on the Pro Clubs formula and can’t wait to see what comes of it. We will know more during the Pro Clubs and Volta deep dive event, but it’s great to see EAFC is changing things up this year.

New Camera Modes

For years FIFA has only slightly altered its variety of camera angles. However, EA Sports FC 24 brings new ways to play in career mode.

First, player career will receive a new ‘Play as Player’ cam that has been rumored to be first person point of view. If this is true, this would completely change the player’s overall career mode experience.

The alternative to this camera mode, if it isn’t from the player’s point of view, is a redefined version of the ‘Pro Cam’ that would put players in the third person.

Secondly, this year’s manager career mode will get a new touchline camera that puts the player right in the technical box. In addition, the mode will have a spectator feature that will let you watch your tactics unfold on the pitch.

HypermotionV

I know I’ve been critical of FIFA‘s gameplay, but there must be something said about HypermotionV. Hypermotion Volumetric will add more animations and realism to EA Sports FC 24.

This new integration of Hypermotion is really pushing to blur the lines between what’s in real football and what’s in the game. The fact that EA Sports can take volumetric data from real match actions and replicate them in the game is mind-boggling. I can’t wait to see how smooth and realistic the gameplay can be.

The Introductions of Play Styles

Play styles will replace FIFA 23‘s archetypes and be available across multiple modes in EA Sports FC 24. This feature brings the signature play styles of players like Vini Jr and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr.

There will be 30+ play styles added to the game, ensuring that players can create unique and dynamic footballers. However, players can upgrade play styles to be even better through ‘play styles+.’

This feature will boost your traits from special to spectacular. The only issue with this feature is the possibility of play style+ qualities being too overpowered. The last thing we need in Pro Clubs is a bunch of Erling Haaland clones that can all bang a long shot with 100 percent accuracy.

EA Sports FC 24 kicks off on September 29. For more news ahead of the game’s release, you got to keep it locked here on Sports Gamers Online.
