Ahead of the official reveal livestream for EA Sports FC 24, we heard rumors of a new Hypermotion integration coming to this year’s game. Hypermotion is the revolutionary technology that EA Sports uses to fuel the current-gen gameplay in sports games. However, this year, Hypermotion V, or volumetric, brings realistic playstyles and up-to-date animations of players straight from the pitch.
Hypermotion returns for a third time in EA Sports FC 24. However, this time, the technology brings over 590 million frames of animation and players’ movements from more than 180 real matches.
In addition to Hypermotion V, EA Sports’ frostbite engine is getting a significant up lift. This year, Frostbite in EA Sports FC 24 will bring SAPIEN, a characteristic technology that transforms how players look and move. You may know SAPIEN from its recent introduction to Madden 24.
To complement the realism that Hypermotion V will bring. Playstyles will make players perform like their authentic-self on the pitch. However, playstyles will also be implemented into the personality system to make your personal player unique.
For the full rundown of these new features coming to EA Sports FC 24, check it out below:
- HyperMotionV* is our biggest leap forward in realism to-date, translating the rhythm and fluidity of real-world football into The World’s Game using volumetric data from more than 180 professional men’s and women’s football matches that allows us to reflect real-world movement in-game more than ever before.
- PlayStyles optimised by Opta dimensionalises athletes, going beyond overall ratings to bring to life the on-pitch abilities that make players special. Each PlayStyle gives players unique capabilities you’ll see and feel that make their way of playing more authentic.
- An enhanced Frostbite™ Engine delivers The World’s Game in lifelike detail, bringing a new level of immersion through redesigned player models, smoother animations and visibly unique characteristics that make each player special. Kits now move like real-world materials, reacting to a player’s stride, shifting as they change direction, and flowing along with them as they play.
