In March, I wrote an article about when players can play FIFA 22 on Xbox Game Pass. Unfortunately, there is still no official announcement from Xbox. However, Playstation has announced that FIFA 22 is coming to PS Plus in May.
Every year, the newest FIFA makes its way to Game Pass and Playstation Plus during the conclusion of Europe’s most prestigious football leagues. With Playstation announcing that EA’s football title is coming to PS Plus, surely Xbox Game Pass with be next in line.
FIFA 22 will be available for PS Plus subscribers on Tuesday, May 3rd. In addition, new and existing players will receive a Playstation Plus FUT Pack for FIFA Ultimate Team. This pack includes 11 players rated 82 and above to help players kickstart their FIFA Ultimate Team.
Of course, PlayStation Plus doesn’t just have FIFA 22 this month. EA’s football title joins Tribes of Midgard and the roguelike Curse of the Dead Gods. These games will replace Slay the Spire, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. You will have until May the 2nd to download those games for free.
FIFA 22 Review
FIFA 22 does bring a few changes to its most popular modes. The game’s most significant feature is its gameplay base known as Hypermotion Technology (only on next-gen consoles). If you are still unsure about spending those gigabytes on FIFA 22, you can read our SGO review on the game here.
FIFA 22 has some nice things, and the addition of HyperMotion shows where the series is going. But, for now, there’s a lot that needs to be built on moving forward. – Curtis Russell, FIFA 22 SGO Review.
