UFL Pushed Back to 2024, Closed Beta Release Soon

Delayed again.

UFL game

Many of us hoped that European developer Strikerz Inc. would get its upcoming football game out for release before the year’s end. Unfortunately, UFL needs more development before hitting our consoles. On Wednesday, the company’s CEO, Eugene Nashilov, announced on X that UFL will be officially delayed to 2024, and a worldwide closed beta will take place.

UFL Delayed AGAIN

In August 2022, Strikerz Inc. announced that the game was 80 percent done and would be released in 2023. Since this announcement, the European developer has released developer blogs showcasing its progress, started the game’s alpha stage, and secured investment from Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, Strikerz Inc’s CEO announced on X that UFL needs more time and will be released in 2024. In addition, he also revealed that a closed beta weekend for UFL will occur soon. “After ALPHA we plan to release closed BETA weekend.” Strikerz Inc CEO Eugene Nashilov tweeted. “It will be a global massive test with a large audience. If we pass the BETA well, we will publish the date and release the game.”

As 2023 came to a close, many fans were beginning to wonder if UFL would make its release window. Unfortunately not. However, I’ve always appreciated the company’s transparency with its fans, and I hope for a release sooner rather than later.

UFL quick rundown

UFL is an online football game that utilizes a FIFA Ultimate Team-like formula. You can purchase players and managers with the game’s in-game currency and play through ranked-based divisions. Unfortunately, the game won’t have offline modes at launch, but the game will add post-launch content for fans to enjoy.
