WWE 2K22 released its third Ringside Report episode on Wednesday, less than a week before fans finally get to play the game for themselves. The latest episode focuses on two modes fans have been waiting to hear more on, Showcase and MyRise.

Starting with MyRise, the new story mode feature from WWE 2K22, players will have over 50 hours of gameplay combined between the male and female stories. In the mode, you’ll be able to start from the beginning of your career where the choices you make impact how your path shapes out.

With Showcase Mode, players will be able to go through some of the biggest moments in the career of Rey Mysterio. Included in the report was gameplay of Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero from Halloween Havoc 1997.

One match that wasn’t mentioned as being involved is Mysterio’s first World Championship victory at WrestleMania 22. In the match he defeated Randy Orton and Kurt Angle for the title. However, Angle isn’t a part of the game’s announced roster, making this match unlikely to be a part of the mode.

From 2K Sports:

In Rey Mysterio’s 2K Showcase, players take on legendary opponents including Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels, as well as current Superstars, including The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Fast-paced gameplay flawlessly transitions to live-action historical footage, using 2K’s new Slingshot Tech, for a truly immersive experience.

MyRISE gives players the opportunity to experience the journey of a WWE Superstar, from the humble beginnings of a Rookie at the WWE Performance Center to the challenge of becoming a Superstar, to being immortalized as a WWE Legend. With unique men’s and women’s division storylines available, players will encounter an array of WWE Superstars and Legends as they embark on the journey.

WWE 2K22 launches on March 11 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Those who preorder the Deluxe or NWO 4-Life versions of the game can start playing on Tuesday, March 8.
