Unless you have been living under a rock for these last few weeks, you have by now probably heard about a little game called “Rocket League”. It is currently available to Playstation Plus subscribers for FREE in the playstation store and available on Steam for $19.99.
Rocket League is a physics based soccer game that is played with cars. That’s right! It may sound a little goofy in theory but many gamers who have laid their hands on this game have been sucked into the vortex that is Rocket League. It is extremely addictive and flat out fun!
On July 31st, Psyonix released a pretty decent size patch for the Playstation 4 and PC Smash hit Rocket League. The patch comes in at 462MB and if you have your auto update setting turned off, you may want to log on and get to downloading as there is nothing more discouraging than wanting to get a few quick RL matches in and having to wait for a the download to complete.
Many areas of the game were addressed in this update including:
-“Quick Chat” commands can now be used cross-platform between PC and PS4
-Stat tracking for online games is now properly recorded for its correlating Garage items
-AI Bot skill levels now adjust to the average skill level of all players currently in the game
-The first player to abandon a “Ranked’ match is now banned from matchmaking for 15 minutes
-(PS4) “Far, Far Away” Trophy can now be unlocked via online play
-(Steam) “Virtuoso” Achievement is now obtainable and includes appropriate description
-Fixed multiple crash scenarios
