As we look forward to FIFA 23 and the new EA Sports FC, Electronic Arts continue secure licenses with the world’s best club and leagues. Earlier this month, Italian club Juventus made its way back to EA’s growing list of licenses. So long, Piemonte Calcio, we hardly knew you. But, Electronic Arts has renewed a multi-year deal with the North American top flight, Major League Soccer.
The MLS has grown in popularity over the last couple of years with teams like LAFC, Austin FC, and Atlanta United FC. It’s fantastic to see ATL United fans pack out a venue like Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Today, Electronic Arts Inc. and Major League Soccer announced an extension of their long-term partnership that designates EA SPORTS™ as an Official Partner of @MLS and @eMLS, unlocking a new era of sports fandom on and off the field. https://t.co/ShVlUklcT2

The Major League Soccer License
Electronic Arts renewed deal with the MLS will continue to bring fans an authentic experience to FIFA 23 and EA Sports FC for years to come. This agreement will ensure that fans experience the MLS’s broadcasting package, clubs, players, and stadiums while playing EA’s football titles.
“As the world’s game continues to grow in North America, so does our opportunity to curate soccer experiences representative of a rapidly evolving fan base,” said David Jackson, VP of Brand for EA SPORTS FIFA.
Scotlands Heavy Hitters
Earlier today, Electronic Arts announced that Glasgow’s Scottish rivals would be fully licensed in the upcoming FIFA game. Rangers FC and Celtic FC had their right with eFootball under the Scottish Premier League. However, that partnership ended last year, allowing EA to come in and sign the two clubs.
FIFA 23 will be the game to feature Ranger’s home Stadium, Ibrox, since the 1990s. Rangers FC had clawed their way back to the Scottish top flight after being relegated to the bottom tier in 2012. Since then, the club have won the Scottish League over their bitter rivals and made it to the Europa League final. So its good to see their home stadium back in EA’s football game.
FIFA 23 will be out on September 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
