As we inch closer towards the release of Madden 22, the first batch of rookie ratings has come out. EA revealed a slew of rookies ratings in certain attributes and revealed some rookie’s overall ratings. In typical Madden fashion, the rookies guessed their attributes before the reveal.

Madden 22 Rookie Ratings
These are the following ratings:
- Patrick Surtain II, CB, Denver Broncos- Awareness- 75
- Jaycee Horn, CB, Carolina Panthers- Man Coverage-74
- Asante Samuel Jr, CB, Los Angeles Chargers- Speed- 92
- Travis Etienne, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars- Short Route Running-67
- Elijah Moore, WR, New York Jets- Change of Direction- 93
EA went in-depth with New England Patriots Rookie, Mac Jones, revealing three different attribute ratings. He has a 71 overall, 85 throw power, and 26 break tackle. During the kickoff show on ESPN, EA also revealed a slew of rookies’ overall ratings.
The following rookie ratings were revealed during the kickoff show:
- Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons – 81 OVR
- Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars – 78 OVR
- Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins – 76 OVR
- Pat Surtain II, CB, Denver Broncos – 76 OVR
- Zach Wilson, QB, New York Jets – 75 OVR
- Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals – 75 OVR
- DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles – 75 OVR
- Trey Lance, QB, San Francisco 49ers – 74 OVR
- Justin Fields, QB, Chicago Bears – 74 OVR
As always, the ratings come with a bit of controversy. Fans and the rookies will question the rationale behind the ratings. However, if they perform well during the NFL season, those ratings will be adjusted.
ESPN is hosting the Madden 22 ratings this week. We will see who will be joining the 99 club in the coming days. The team at SGO will stay on top of it and reveal the ratings as we know about them.
