Today, Com2uS announced Out of the Park Baseball 25, the 25th anniversary edition of the popular baseball strategy series, will release on March 15, 2024. The latest entry promises to have several new features, including a new partnership that will add tons of baseball history to the game.
Baseball Hall of Fame Partnership
The biggest addition coming to OOTP 25 is a new partnership with the Baseball Hall of Fame. Throughout the year, new artifacts will be put in the game for players to view. These will all be curated and released in new “exhibits” over the course of the season. You’ll also be able to view every Hall of Fame plaque, with the official text for each Hall of Famer.
Player Development Lab
The next big feature for OOTP 25 is the new Player Development Lab. This will allow you to decide where you players will focus their training. You’ll be able to create individual programs for each player to decide how they develop. You can have your hitters focus on things like contact, power, or baserunning, while you may have your pitcher focus on increasing his velocity or adding a new pitch to his arsenal.
Other Additions
Also coming to OOTP 25 are new Perfect Team Tournaments. Now players will be able to design and play out their own tournaments in this new sandbox mode. Also, all 2024 MLB rule changes will be reflected in the game. Finally, 2024 MLB rosters will be updated throughout the season to keep them as accurate as possible.
Pre-Orders
Pre-orders are now live for OOTP 25 on the Com2uS website. Players who pre-order the game can get the game for $34.99, a 30% discount off the full retail price. Those who pre-order will get access to the final beta version of the game starting on March 12th.
The game will launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 15th. These storefronts will have a one week 30% launch discount. Everyone who either pre-orders or buys the game during launch week will get a bonus Gold Pack, Diamond Pack, and a Special 25th Anniversary Pack in Perfect Team mode.
