Motorcross racing fans got exciting news regarding a new game coming out this year. Milestone announced Thursday MXGP 2020 will be released on December 10 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Windows PC/Steam. Milestone also released a trailer for the new game to kick off their hype cycle. (Ed: pun intended)
What to Expect With MXGP 2020
Players will be able to race with 68 riders from both MXGP and MX2 categories on 19 courses. Gamers will start their seasons as rookies and can either join an official team or create their own.
MXGP 2020 also brings back its Track Editor feature to the game. Features in Track Editor include Heightmaps where players can replicate real MX tracks configurations, often built on hills and mountains, adding realism and all the challenges that real riders face during races. Players can choose four different terrain types that can be customized and shared online.
The Playground mode is back again. Players have the option to try a new setting inspired by Norwegian fjords terrains. Gamers can also enjoy free-ride together with three other friends. Waypoint mode returns with players being able to race up to four players.
MXGP 2020 will have dedicated servers for its multiplayer mode. This will ensure that players can enjoy a lag-free gameplay experience. The game’s Race Director Mode will have players creating online tournaments, decide on starting positions, assigning penalties, and choosing the cameras to focus on.
In-depth customization options for racers have increased this year. When making changes to racers, players will now have more than 10,000 items to choose from, all of which are officially licensed from more than 110 brands. And bike performance can be improved with replicas of real-life parts.
