Expected to come to the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Skate 4 is the follow up to 2010’s Skate 3.
In speaking with Game Informer, EA chief studios officer Laura Miele said that the return of the franchise is years in the making.
“Our vision as a studios leadership teamis to listen to player feedback and act on it, so this project has been a priority for us for the past few years,” she said.
The game is still a way off, and there is plenty we don’t know about what the return of the series has in store. That said, it was nice to see that it was finally coming from the company. With games like Skater XL, Session and even Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remastered all out or coming soon, it seems like we’re in a reboom of the skateboarding genre.
