eFootball 2023 New Player Types
Konami will add two new player types to eFootball’s Dream Team, giving players more personality options in their team.
Highlight & Epic
Highlight players are the ones that produce magical moments in football. These players have put in great performances in the current season and have a high progression level.
Epic types celebrate excellent past players. The footballer’s cards will be based on their best season and have a higher progression ceiling than legendary cards.
New Licenses
eFootball 2023 will introduce three new fully licensed clubs. The first two are Milan’s biggest clubs, AC Milan and Inter Milan. The last one is the soaring eagles from Mexico, Club America. The licenses will bring the club’s names, kits, and managers to eFootball 2023.
What’s Missing?
All these updates will help eFootball 2023’s flagship Dream Team mode, but the game needs more from Konami. Earlier this year, Konami announced that it plans to release the game’s career mode, Master League, in 2023. However, Konami isn’t treating the release of eFootball 2023 as a major event. With no massive gameplay overhaul, new modes, or significant changes, the game will remain a hallow water-down football title.
eFootball is a mere empty capsule compared to its predecessor, Pro Evolution Soccer. Over the last year, the Japanese company hasn’t done enough to get its free-to-play title to where it should be. And how they are choosing to roll out a new installment of eFootball is insulting to the people who have been patient with Konami’s horrific experiment of a free-to-play football title.
