Everyone knew it was coming, but NASCAR Heat 4 has been officially revealed by 704 Games, and with the reveal comes the announcement of the games cover athlete.

Gracing the cover of the game this year is future NASCAR Hall of Famer Kevin Harvick alongside NASCAR legend Tony Stewart.

A “Gold Edition” of the game will also be available and it features Jeff Gordon on the cover as well as a Steelbook case, early access to the game and the DLC season pass.

NASCAR Heat 4 will feature a deeper career mode where players will be able to own and manage their own team. This year’s game will also allow players to start in any of the four series in the game (Xtreme Dirt, Camping World Truck Series, Xfinity Series, or Monster Energy Cup Series).

“NASCAR Heat 4 will be the best NASCAR console game we’ve released to date,” said Colin Smith, President of 704Games. “Over the years the NASCAR video game has built a large and passionate fan base, and when developing this game we made sure many of their voices were heard. We have incorporated a number of features and improvements recommended by the NASCAR Heat community and we look forward to delivering a better game to fans in September.”

The career mode will see Stewart be a part of the Xtreme Dirt series, with his own team (Smoke racing) being available to join in the mode.

The game will feature the upgraded Sonoma Raceway as well as the new Toyota Supra in the Xfinity Series. On top of that, those who preorder the game will be able to race Martinsville at night for the first time ever in Quick Races.

For those hoping to carry over their Heat 3 career, that ability won’t be part of NASCAR Heat 4. Nor will cross-platform play.

NASCAR Heat 4 launches this September on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
